Effect of additives on the enzymatic hydrolysis of pre-treated wheat straw

Enzymatic hydrolysis of pre-treated wheat straw has been studied. Several additives have checked as potential improvers glucose yield in the enzymatic hydrolysis, trying to avoid cellulases inhibition by lignin a cause decrease saccharification rate lignocellulosic biomass. Non-ionic surfactants, such Tween 80 (poly(oxyethylene)20-sorbitan-monooleate) and polyethylene glycol-6000, proteins, bovine serum albumin, casein skimmed milk powder, used improve sugars hydrolysis. Two materials, one with high delignification another low delignification, tested. Three concentrations each additive considered. The results obtained point out that content biomass decisive influence reaching saccharification. moderate effect on cellulose rate. more favorable option combines use cheap protein casein, 88.6% when best conditions are employed.
